Volunteers are needed this fall to help fans recycle at Kinnick Stadium. At each home football game, the University of Iowa recycling team sets up recycling bins at the gates of Kinnick to collect aluminum cans and plastic bottles that would otherwise go to the landfill. Volunteers are needed to greet fans and help them recycle properly as they enter the stadium.
Game day recycling is a great way for students in fraternties, sororities and other organizations to earn service hours and have fun at the same time. Volunteer shifts begin two hours before kick-off and end at kick-off. For the Sept. 2 opener vs. Wyoming, the shift is 9-11 a.m. Volunteers should check in at Gate E upon arrival for instuctions and gate assigments.
