More than 20 volunteers turned out to show our river some love at the annual Great Annual Iowa River Clean-up on Oct. 25.

Community members and University of Iowa students and staff helped IIHR—Hydroscience & Engineering clear the west banks of the Iowa River on a beautiful fall morning. The volunteers spent about two hours combing the riverbank, picking up trash and other debris from among rocks and brush.

The UI Office of Sustainability, Engineering Staff Advisory Council, and Facilities Management also sponsored this event.
